Definitions and Interpretation
“You” being the website user purchasing goods through the ‘Add to Cart’ buttons above.
“We” and “us” being representatives of The Witcherley Book Company, our contact detail are given on the contact page (http://www.witcherleybooks.com/contact.html)
These are the terms and conditions in relation to this website’s book purchase options. They are subject to change from time to time. These were last updated on 18 October 2014. They have been written in response to the UK rules for distance selling in The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 (http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2013/3134/contents/made).
When you click on the ‘Add to Cart’ buttons above and proceed through the PayPal payment process you are making an offer to buy goods. We will send you an email confirmation of the purchase through PayPal.
Details of the product are correct to the best of our abilities, but it is possible that mistakes in the description or content can occur. If this is the case you will be given the option to cancel the order.
We only accept orders in pounds sterling for delivery in the UK or Northern Ireland. Orders outside the UK or Northern Ireland can be placed with other online retailers.
Price and Payment
Payment details are required through PayPal at the time of the order for the purchase in pounds sterling only. PayPal’s delayed payment options can be used.
The price is the full pound sterling price shown on the ‘Add to Cart’ button for each individual item. There are no separate delivery or package charge for orders within the UK and Northern Ireland.
Providing the Services
We aim on process all orders within one working day. The goods may be provided from The Witcherley Book Company or may be dispatched direct from the printers at the discretion of The Witcherley Book Company. The order dispatched is required to comply with the order made.
Orders dispatched directly from The Witcherley Book Company will be sent by 2nd Class Royal Mail parcel post; Royal Mail gives expected delivery times of 2-3 working days, including Saturdays. Orders dispatched from the printers will be via their current delivery provider with the delivery option that is their closest equivalent to 2nd Class Royal Mail parcel post.
Payment and automatic email notification services are provided through PayPal.
Problems with the Services
If the goods delivered to you are faulty or damaged, or fail to arrive, then please contact us in writing by email or post, using the contact detail given on the contact page (http://www.witcherleybooks.com/contact.html) and explaining the problem. We will provide replacement goods at our discretion. For faulty goods where no replacement is required we will provide a refund if notified within 14 days (as for cancelled orders). We may ask for proof the goods received were faulty, and may ask for the goods to be returned to us; if they are not faulty no refund will be offered if the cancellation period had passed when we were notified.
Problems with PayPal are the responsibility of PayPal and you should the contact details on their website.
The products sold on the website, and the sales process, are designed to comply with UK legislation. We do not warrant that they comply with any legal requirements from outside the UK.
Events Outside of Our Control (Force Majeure)
In the event of force majeure, any unfulfilled orders will be reimbursed, where payment has been made, as soon as it is possible to do so and provided The Witcherley Book Company is still able to do so.

Communication and Contact Details
You can contact us using any of the options or contact details given on the contact page (http://www.witcherleybooks.com/contact.html).
When we process your order we will contact you using the email address you provide to PayPal to let you know that the goods are in stock and when they will be dispatched.
If for any reason the goods are not available or we are not able to fulfil your order for any reason (for instance the goods are no longer printable, or the quantities you request exceed the stock available) we will let you know to your PayPal email address.
The cost of communications you send to us are to paid by you and will not be reimbursed.
How We Use Your Personal Information (Data Protection)
Payment is to be made via PayPal and the details of the payment method used is held within PayPal and not by The Witcherley Book Company.
Other Important Terms
The terms and conditions of this contract are in force until the goods have been received or the order is cancelled and goods returned; for a minimum duration of 14 days from the receipt of the goods.
The goods, their individual price and the total price are as specified in the invoice. For UK and Northern Ireland purchases VAT is calculated at zero% for books. There is no charge for delivery or packing for orders delivered in the UK and Northern Ireland.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This contract is governed by English Law. Any dispute(s) arising are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of English and Welsh Law.
Your Cancellation Rights:
You have the right to cancel this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
The cancellation period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third-party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the goods.
To exercise the right to cancel, you must inform us, The Witcherley Book Company, using the contact details given on the contact page (http://www.witcherleybooks.com/contact.html), of your decision to cancel this contract by a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by post, or e-mail). You may use the below model text, but it is not obligatory.
To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right to cancel before the cancellation period has expired.
If you cancel this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).
We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.
We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than:
- 14 days after the day we receive back from you any goods supplies, or
- (If earlier) 14 days after the day you provide evidence that you have returned the goods, or
- If there were no goods supplied, 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to cancel this contract.
We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of the reimbursement.
We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.
You shall send back the goods or hand them over to us, without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your cancellation from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods.
